For international student who are below required UKVI IELTS/English level of the university can apply for pre-sessional English program in order to improve their English capabilities.

UKVI IELTS score you need for your Tier 4 General Student Visa –

Tier 4 (General student visa) – below degree level and Foundation level courses

B1 – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking UKVI IELTS 4.5 overall, and in each of the four skills 4.0

Tier 4 (General student visa) – degree level and above

B2 – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking UKVI IELTS 6 overall, and in each of the four skills 5.5 for direct entry. For some masters courses students required to have UKVI IELTS overall 6.5 and each parts 5.5. It’s depending on subjects.
