UK universities provide variety of research programs to suit the demand of the international postgraduate students. Research can be done in mainly two different modes in the UK i.e. Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and PhD (Doctor of Philosophy).

Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) is mainly designed for the professionals who have a good numbers of years of experience in their professional career in the department of management. It is assumed that professionals met a problem in their workplace which couldn’t be dealt with their existing academic knowledge as a result; hence the course is designed to develop the problem solving academic knowledge for the professionals. It is not mandatory for candidates to have good marks in their Master’s but a practical work experience will certainly necessary for DBA programs.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) is the highest level of degree a student can achieve in his academic career. It is designed for academic researchers who have good grade (at least 60%) and sound academic background in their previous qualification and wants to undertake a fresh research within a particular area. It is necessary that candidate have good grades in his previous qualification. Also the area of the research has to be fresh and there must be gap available in the previous research done by other authors.
